  • Madame Du Juan

    Executive Director  Madame Du Juan  Du Juan is the Executive Director of the Canadian International School of Hefei and Sino-Canada Concord School of Hefei High Tech Zone, and Vice Principal of Shenzhen (Nanshan) Concord College of Sino-Canada.  Since joining AKD International Education in February 2003, Du Juan has accumulated rich experience in school management, various areas of curricula and the IB philosophy.  In the belief of bringing the best out of the West and the East she is dedicated to working with her team with the purpose of shaping the Canadian International School of Hefei as an IB World School, providing the highest quality international education in China and beyond.

  • Peggy Gorman-Mitchell

    Head of School  Peggy Gorman-Mitchell  Welcome students, parents/guardians and staff to the Canadian International School of Hefei.  The Canadian International School of Hefei, is now in its fourth year of operation. We are very pleased to inform you that we are now authorized as an International Baccalaureate School for the Primary Years & Middle Years’ programme. We are also a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme. We are the only IB authorized school in Anhui Province, China.  We have over twenty different nationalities within our student population. Our teachers are qualified in their subject areas and hold authorized teacher licenses.   • Melody Yang

    Director of Operations  Melody Yang  Melody Yang, the Director of Operations at CISH. Melody graduated from University of Sydney with a master degree of commerce. After graduation, Melody worked with public schools in Toronto as a consultant for immigrant families and international students, and later moved to the supervisory position for three immigrant centers in Greater Toronto Area, managing the government funded programs to meet objectives of operations and defining new initiatives for growth.  Melody has been in charge of branding, marketing, admissions, and the public relations since CISH was established in 2014 and she is now also in charge of the operations of CISH, working with the executive director and the head of school to establish goals of development, public relations, policies and procedures, meet managerial standards and implement strategies of building CISH a competitive international school. Melody is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese with outstanding cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Lorraine Samuel

    Early Years Coordinator/K2 Homeroom Teacher  Lorraine Samuel  Ms. Lorraine Samuel was born in India and currelty lives in the United States of America, India and Kenya. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from New York University, New York and is a K-12 certified teacher. She has had a total of 6 years of teaching experience. Ms. Samuel has previously worked in New York Public School system, East Timor local community, and in Delhi private school setting. She also has had an experience in teaching Dance to various age level in New York.  Ms. Samuel has worked with the CISH for the past 4 years and was the department head of Kindergarten for the 2016-17 school year. Currently Ms. Samuel is the Early Years Coordinator at the Canadian International School, Hefei.  Ms. Samuel continues to grow professionally and wishes to pursue a PHD in International Education from NYU, NY.  Ms. Samuel is also the school dance teacher and enjoys teaching her students various new dance forms.

  • Chris Mark

    MYP Mathematics Teacher  Chris Mark  Chris Mark has been at CISH since September of 2014, originally as the K-10 music teacher. Prior to coming to China, he was a professional musician, including 4 years with the Canadian Forces as a trade musician. Chris holds a total of 9 IB certificates spanning all three IB programmes (PYP, MYP and DP), and has been fortunate to have experience teaching a variety of subjects and all grade levels here at CISH.  Also a qualified mathematics teacher, Chris enjoys teaching middle school math. Passionate about teaching and learning, he’s very pleased to be joining the mathematics department at CISH. Always student-centered, the mathematics classroom is a balance of conceptual thinking and practical application. There is also a focus on the development of academic language, with many activities designed to foster discussion and oral participation in class.  Outside of school life, Chris is still a practicing musician as well as a competitive athlete. He competes in long distance triathlon events around the Asia-Pacific region when scheduling permits.

  • Angela Lee

    PYP Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher  Angela Lee  Angela has been working at CISH since the school was founded in 2014. In her previous years at CISH, she has taught Grade 1 and Kindergarten 1 and 2. Angela is from Toronto, Canada. She attended the University of Western Ontario for her Bachelors of Education, majoring in Primary-Junior Education, and also gained her Bachelors of Science, majoring in Biology.  Prior to working at CISH, Angela taught in Canada and Korea, teaching children of ages 3 to 12.  Angela’s philosophy of education revolves around three things: inclusion, differentiation and hands-on experience. With this in mind, she works to deliver authentic learning experiences and joyful memories for her students in and out of the classroom.  During her spare time, Angela enjoys planting, yoga and spending quality time with her daughter, Ariadne.

招生流程

合肥加拿大国际学校将全年接收新学生的申请,CISH在“滚动招生”的基础上招收学生直到每个班级没有名额为止。

招生流程分为三个步骤:申请、学生面试和入学。学生必须提交已填写好的申请表及所需要的所有文件。

CISH招生程序对学生及家长是完全公开公平公正的,招生办将会对此做出详细的说明。

入学标准

1. 学术能力

CISH是一所大学预科学校,学生们在这里将会被发掘较大的潜力,接受较高水准的专业教育。根据学生毕业学校的成绩单,申请人必须表现出获得CISH较高水准学术水平的意愿。

2. 社会技能

CISH较为一个学习团体是建立在以遵守下列准则为前提的基础之上的:尊重、责任和诚信。例如,CISH只接收过往在此方面无不良记录的学生。

3. 生理或学习障碍

CISH接收有轻微生理或学习障碍的学生,但是,如果该生在我校入学考试环节显示出的学习或生理上的障碍,是我们以后无法有效地采用教育教学手段进行改善的,我们将不予以接收。

课堂规模

每个班级较多25名学生。

候选名单

如果学生已经被CISH录取但是没有空余的班级名额,该生将会被列于候选名单之中。在名单的已被录取的学生,将会严格按照申请时间的先后顺序进行排列。下列情况享有优先权:

-兄弟姐妹:在校学生的兄弟姐妹

综述

CIS欢迎来自世界各地的学生。我们会综合考虑学生的学术能力和社会能力,以此作为招生依据。

进入每一年级就读的截止日期是当年的12月31日。如果一个一年级生出生于12月31日之后,比如出生于1月1日,CIS也会招收其就读一年级。

英语程度

我们招收所有国籍的学生。CIS主要教学语言是英语,所有一年级或者来自非英语母语家庭的申请人,将会通过评估决定他们是否需要接受ESL课程教育。候选人将由主要指导老师进行英语考试从而判定其是否需要接受ESL课程教育。2到3年级,我们一般要求英语水平达到3级;4到9年级,我们一般要求英语水平达到4级;10到12年级,我们一般要求英语水平达到5级。CIS提供ESL课程,但是费用不包括在学费之内。
